The "Good News Friends" fellowship started when a family came from a dry desert land to work at a remote but a beautiful town about 32kms from Ooty in the Nilgiris Mountains situated in the state of Tamilnadu.

We began in the early months of 2007 when we first met as just two believers with the aim of prayer and fellowship. We belonged to different backgrounds but our foundation was on Christ and so we met regularly and prayed. Soon the Lord brought many others to join us and as we prayed together the Lord blessed each one of us in a special way.

We enjoyed the time we spent together - truly it was good and pleasant as said in Psalm 133:1. "Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."

We witnessed changes in the lives of those we touched, healing and miracles through which God confirmed that it was His will that we fellowship together. Meetings, mini crusades and fasting prayers... brought forth a fellowship across cultural, geographical and denominational boundaries.

So, as we moved to the town of Ooty we wished to continue the mission of presenting every man / woman perfect in Christ Jesus. We are a team with members from different walks of life, languages, cultural backgrounds, but with the zeal to witness for our Lord Jesus Christ.
